A Gaming Worker works at a gaming or gambling establishment. Interacts with customers and provides customer service. May take bets, pay out winnings, deal cards or provide assistance in a slot machine area. Watches for violations of game or house rules or security.
Count Team is paid shift pay of $184 per shift. The count team typically works 5-6 hours but is paid for an 8 hour shift. Responsible for the collection, counting, verification, and documentation of currency, tickets, chips, and other gaming proceeds from slot machines and table games in accordance with company policies, internal controls, Colorado gaming regulations, and established security procedures.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the removal, transport, and replacement of slot machine bill validator boxes. Count and verify currency, vouchers, chips, and gaming proceeds using count room equipment. Accurately record and reconcile count results. Maintain strict compliance with all gaming regulations, company policies, and internal controls. Ensure security and integrity of all funds during collection and counting processes. Prepare required paperwork, reports, and documentation related to count activities. Identify and report discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or suspicious activity immediately. Maintain confidentiality regarding gaming revenue and count room operations. Assist with cleaning and organization of the count room and equipment. Work cooperatively with Security, Finance, Slots, and Table Games departments. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous cash handling, banking, accounting, or casino experience preferred. Prior count room experience is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work with numbers and perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Ability to follow detailed procedures and internal controls. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work under strict security requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a secure count room environment for extended periods.
