Are you looking for a per diem position, making a positive impact on our community and families, and earning a competitive hourly rate? We are seeking organized, personable, responsible, responsive, and team-oriented individuals for our Awake Overnight Guest Services Associate role. This is an awake position providing essential overnight coverage for families staying at the Albany Ronald McDonald House. Since 1982, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region has served more than 23,000 families facing serious childhood health challenges. Through our programs, we provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. Position Summary The Awake Overnight Guest Services Associate is responsible for providing awake overnight staff coverage for the Albany Ronald McDonald House and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR). Primary functions include ensuring the safety of all guest families, maintaining the security of the House, completing after-hours registrations and orientations for new guests, cleaning and maintaining common areas, and providing general support for guest families. Regularly scheduled shifts are from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Availability needed for weeknights (Sunday-Thursday) and holidays. Please include a cover letter with your resume. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED required Must be 21 years of age or older Valid NYS driver's license Able to lift 25 lbs. Critical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work with diverse families of varied socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds Ability to work weekends and holidays Ability to work with diverse volunteers and contributors Excellent time-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
