Job Description

Description Summary of Duties:
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other team members, customers, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of my employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards.
Position Purpose:
To provide courteous service and a clean environment for guests and employees.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Check daily duty rosters and read all communication from Supervisors at the beginning of the shift. Vacuum, sweep, scrub, and mop floors throughout the casino including all common areas, storage areas, and restrooms. Respond quickly to requests for housekeeping services as circumstances dictate. Check inventory and replenish supplies such as paper goods, feminine care products, and cleaning supplies as needed. Empty ash trays and garbage as often as necessary. Wipe down all gaming machines, and other smooth surfaces to prevent dust buildup. Carefully and thoroughly clean, sanitize, and dispose of biological and other hazardous materials using standard precautions. Inspect bathrooms and other common areas periodically for cleanliness and take corrective action when needed. Conduct on the job training with new hires as needed. Clean carpets and upholstery using special equipment when instructed to do so. Become familiar with casino events and promotions in order to accurately inform guests. Ensure compliance with tip reporting procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements Education/Qualifications:
Must be at least 18. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred.
Licensing:
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
Work Requirements:
Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping or bending, lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
