A Gaming Worker works at a gaming or gambling establishment. Interacts with customers and provides customer service. May take bets, pay out winnings, deal cards or provide assistance in a slot machine area. Watches for violations of game or house rules or security.
$16 per hour + shift differential and weekend differential, if applicable

Resort Division Reports to : Food & Beverage Supervisor In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
Responsibilities :
Must attend all training provided by the North Star Mohican Casino Resort. Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Resort Casino and the Food & Beverage Department. Must participate in an employee random drug testing program. Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities. Must attend all meetings, as assigned. Must wear the approved departmental uniform. Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work. Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos and other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel. Maintain the dining area in a clean and neat manner. Clear tables and stations of dirty dishes in an efficient manner and reset dining tables and areas for guest use. Ensure tables, chairs, and floors are clean and free from debris. Empty garbage cans as needed and transported to designated areas. Monitor dining area and address any needs. Stock dishes, silverware and glassware and ensure all areas are stocked with clean, dry, and sanitized dishware. Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow associates. Keep work areas neat, clean, sanitized, and stocked with needed equipment and cleaning supplies. Assist in carrying food trays to tables, as necessary. Report any guest complaints or concerns to the immediate supervisor for resolution. Understand the goals and vision of the organization and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance. Perform as a team member and assist fellow associates to ensure smooth operation. Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Complete other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is preferred. High School Diploma or GED is required if you are 19 years old and under. Minors aged 16-17 must have either received a high school diploma or be actively currently completing their high school education. Must submit to court records search/background review. Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record. Must submit and pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening. Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays. Must be at least 16 years of age. Must possess good communication skills and possess the ability to speak effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. Previous customer service experience is preferred. Must possess the ability to be mobile 100% of the shift including maneuvering through crowded areas. Must be able to work in an area that is unusually hot, cold, and noisy. Must have the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIROMENT
Constant hand movements (repetitive motions: grasping, holding, use of finger dexterity). Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Constant walking and standing which may include kneeling, crouching and bending. Occasional pushing/pulling, lifting and/or moving up to thirty (30) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. Work is generally performed in a casino setting with a higher noise level and where cigarette smoke is prevalent. The environment is non-smoking.
