Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary We are obssesed with over-the-top hospitality and the guest experience! We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Host/Hostess at 243 South sets the tone for the guest's ENTIRE experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment. This requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Attend Family Meetings and contribute to the professional development discussions Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart as well as update guest information in our database Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests. Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Maintain cleanliness of the host/host area and dining room. Utilize Toast and OpenTable for managing guest reservations, information, and payments. Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and assistance as needed. Experience Previous experience in guest relations or customer service within the hospitality or food service industry is preferred. Familiarity with Toast and Open Table is a plus. Strong phone etiquette skills to assist guests effectively over the phone. A passion for providing outstanding guest services and creating memorable experiences.
