Job Description
Host Greet customers warmly and enthusiastically immediately upon entrance to the restaurant. Open doors for customers whenever possible. Make guests feel welcome with a smile and sincerity. Keep track of the wait list and quote wait times accurately. Be aware of the progress of tables in the dining room and make sure tables are being greeted promptly upon seating. Engage in conversation with customers while escorting them to their table. Maintain cleanliness in the lobby and an organized host stand. Keep track of the rotation sheet and how many tables each server has to ensure customers are getting excellent service. Communicate and work well with other hosts. Restock guest restrooms and keep them spotless. Help clean dirty tables when needed. Thank the customers as they leave and invite them back. Answer the phone on the first ring according to Stix procedure and use a pleasant tone of voice. Be able to answer guests' questions regarding restaurant menu, policies, directions, etc. Take to go orders or help the to go servers as needed. Help maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow food safety procedures. Complete opening, running, and closing side-work as well as daily cleaning duties.
