HOSTESS - DIETARY
Conway Medical Center

Position Summary:
The Hostess will be responsible for preparing food carts for delivery to patient rooms and retrieving patient meal trays. The Dietary Hostess will provide outstanding customer service to all Conway Medical Center (CMC) patients, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma preferred. Experience Two years' experience in food service experience preferred. Prior food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration None Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet all patients and their accompanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service. Provide individualized assistance to every patient by making rounds, menu management per physician orders, consistently sets up patient snacks needed for special diets, and ensures all items are delivered to each nursing unit. Consistently ensure that floor stocks are filled and delivered to each nursing unit as ordered. Conscious of tray presentation and checks trays for appearance and arrangement. Places food items on tray carefully and neatly, and consistently checks for missing items. Correctly identifies every patient while maintaining confidentiality. Returns unused items to refrigerators, freezers, or storerooms, properly wrapped, labeled, and put in the appropriate place. Checks all nursing units for soiled trays and returns them to the kitchen. Consistently display effective verbal communication skills. Utilizes strong organizational skills. Completes other duties as assigned by department leadership.
