Inspired by the history and spirit of Williams Field Air Force Base, The William will be a modern American chophouse featuring premium steaks and chops, seasonal ingredients, curated wines, handcrafted cocktails, and genuine Arizona hospitality. We are looking for a Host / Hostess who understands that hospitality begins the moment a guest walks through the door. Position Overview The Host / Hostess is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression for every guest entering The William. This position will serve as an important connection between our guests, service team, kitchen, and management. The ideal candidate will be personable, polished, organized, and confident while maintaining a genuine and approachable style of hospitality. You will help manage the flow of the dining room, coordinate reservations and seating, communicate wait times, and ensure each guest feels acknowledged and cared for throughout their arrival experience. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet and welcome guests as they arrive and depart Create a positive and memorable first impression of The William Manage guest seating and dining room flow in coordination with the service team Assist with reservations, waitlists, and guest inquiries Accurately communicate estimated wait times and seating expectations Escort guests to their tables and provide menus when appropriate Maintain awareness of table availability and overall dining room activity Communicate effectively with servers, managers, bartenders, and kitchen team members Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entry area Recognize returning guests and provide personalized service whenever possible Respond professionally to guest questions, requests, and concerns Assist with special occasions, large parties, VIP guests, and other guest needs Support the restaurant team wherever needed to ensure a smooth guest experience Maintain a professional appearance and follow all restaurant standards and procedures What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is: Warm, personable, and genuinely enjoys interacting with people Confident and comfortable engaging with a diverse range of guests Professional, polished, and attentive to detail Organized and able to manage multiple priorities at once Calm and composed in a busy restaurant environment An excellent communicator and team player Dependable, punctual, and accountable Comfortable working in an elevated restaurant environment without being pretentious Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences Previous restaurant, hotel, hospitality, or customer-service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates the right attitude and potential.
