What You'll Bring To The Experience You'll set the tone from the moment a guest arrives—creating a genuine, gracious welcome and helping the dining room, cocktail lounge, bar, and patio flow beautifully. Whether you're greeting a first-time visitor or welcoming back a longtime local, you'll make each guest feel seen, valued, and excited to be here. Welcome guests warmly, offer seating options when available, and escort them to their tables with confidence and care. Maintain an attentive, organized presence at the host stand while staying aware of activity throughout the restaurant, bar, lounge, and patio. Manage reservations, record guest requests, and coordinate arrangements for special occasions and restaurant functions. Answer phones with a friendly, polished, and helpful approach. Participate in daily pre-shift meetings, sharing information about specials, promotions, events, guest feedback, and important updates. Become familiar with our menu, seasonal offerings, and the story of El Chorro so you can engage guests with authentic enthusiasm. Pitch in wherever needed—from refreshing coffee or tea and maintaining clean menus to checking in on guests across our dining spaces. Handle guest questions, concerns, and requests with kindness, composure, and a solutions-focused mindset. What We're Looking For Restaurant, resort, or guest-service experience is preferred. A high school diploma is preferred. A Maricopa County Food Service Worker Card is preferred; CPR/First Aid certification is also preferred. Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest relations, service equipment, and the importance of smooth pacing and staffing. The ability to learn and confidently speak about menu items, daily offerings, and the El Chorro story. Clear, respectful communication skills, including the ability to speak, listen, read, and write in English. A professional, luxury-destination-ready appearance and a genuine pride in representing El Chorro. Integrity, reliability, sound judgment, and a positive, team-first attitude.
