Job Description

Viejas Casino & Resort , San Diego's Premier Four Diamond Gaming and Resort destination, is looking for Club Hosts to join our team! This position is $18.50 per hour, must be available for an 8 hour shift in between the hours of 3pm-2am. The Club Host is responsible for building strong relationships with guests to promote fun and return trips to the Casino. They assist guests with questions regarding myViejas and provide general information about the resort. This role provides support for myViejas, marketing promotions, events and assists with bus groups and charter tours. We are looking for team members who are reliable, outgoing, and who believe that providing great guest service is the key to success. MyViejas Membership

•While on the casino floor, actively seeks out guests who are not in the myViejas and utilizes strong sales tactics to promote myViejas Rewards and sign up new members. Assists guests at the Kiosks machine, including explaining promotions in detail, swiping card and other related myViejas Rewards. Identifies and troubleshoots malfunctioning kiosks and directs the guests to other machines as needed. Guest Service

•Provides timely response and resolution on guest inquiries and disputes/issues regarding player's account, point discrepancies or related issues while ensuring guest satisfaction. Informs supervisors and/or team members from other departments as needed. Offers guests assistance with drinks, change, machine malfunctions, ticket jams and hand pays. Escorts guests to various areas of the casino such as restaurants, valet, bathrooms, gaming areas, and lost and found. When needed, obtains assistance from other qualified service personnel. Maintains knowledge and communicates important information about the casino including: promotions, events, MyViejas benefits, all gaming area locations, restaurants, and VOC information. Tour Bus Program

•Greets and registers all bus tours upon arrival, including giving passengers welcome speech, checking for valid photo ID and MyViejas card, explaining coupons and casino promotions, and distributing coupon books. Accurately records all bus information, date, time of arrival and departure, bus company name, driver's name, number of guests, and bus license number. MyViejas Booth

•Provides friendly, quick and efficient new member enrollment service to MyViejas program, including explaining promotions in detail, sign-ups, promotion redemptions, point redemptions, issuance of promotional items and coupons. Updates and tracks player's account information such as street address, phone number, email, and other relevant information accurately. Uses the computer to produce MyViejas cards, change ribbons and embossers, and determines if equipment is running properly. Special Projects

•Assists graphic, advertising and promotion team with flyer distribution around the casino; and promotional drawings. Informs Surveillance Department of MyViejas fraud and notifies supervisors. Complies with and follows company and departmental policies and standard operating procedures, and applicable governmental laws and regulations. Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. Performs all other duties as assigned Required Skills

Education:

• Requires high school diploma, vocational training or the equivalent experience.

Knowledge and skills:

1 to 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some sales experience preferred. Demonstrated strong customer service skills including enthusiastic, energetic, professional, friendly and courteous behavior at all times. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of basic computer skills. Working knowledge of Player Tracking System, slot machines and table games preferred. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to adjust to and manage change effectively. Must be dependable, timely and have high attention to detail. Must be flexible to work different shifts, evenings, and holidays
