Host/Hostess Katella Deli - 3.2 Los Alamitos, CA Job Details 11 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Safety protocol adherence Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Greet and seat guests, presents menus, and inform guest of special menu items. Treats guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Takes names on a waiting list, and accurately quotes wait times. Runs the floor plan board. Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables. Answers phone calls and questions concerning the menu and restaurant. Cleans, organizes, and stocks menus at host area. Interacts with guests coming in and as they leave, ensure a positive dining experience. Maintains restrooms throughout shift. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members and guests) Must be able to read, write and determine wait time based on company's procedures. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task Knowledge of workplace safety procedures A willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. California Food Handlers card is required for all food service employees who prepare, store, and serve food.
