Food & Beverage Position Purpose :
Managing seating operations of restaurant to provide ease of flow for service staff and kitchen. Provide positive first and last impression to all guests entering and leaving the restaurant/lounge.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide positive first and last impression of guests when entering and leaving the restaurant/lounge. Manage distribution of seat covers to service staff both fairly and for flow of restaurant to prevent any delayed service by staff. Effectively take reservations by guests via phone and in person to best suit flow of business for restaurant efficiency. Able to correctly discuss, identify, and detail all food and beverage items on the menu. Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe work environment. Manage seating of guests to effectively keep kitchen organized and timed correctly. Must be proficient in multi tasking. Must comply with opening and closing as well as running side work necessities. Direct and consistent communication with the culinary, service staff, and management team. Listens to and resolves customer complaints regarding service, product and personnel. Must effectively process service responsibilities from service staff. Eg. Servers and Bartenders Consistently deliver on Standards of Service (e.g. Sequence of Service, proper phone etiquette and verbiage, proper greeting and farewell to guests, etc.) Meticulously cleans and organizes host stand Perform other duties as assigned. Demonstrates ability to learn and change behaviors based on feedback by manager. Routinely shows up to work in a timely fashion prepared to work.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Able to read, write and speak verbally in English. Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry. Ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with all department management, staff, personnel and general public.
Education:
High school or equivalent
Experience:
Prefer One year or more of service assistance in a fine dining outlet.

This position reports to the
Restaurant Manager & Assistant Restaurant Manager Exemption Status:
Non-Exempt.
