At Murrieta Hot Springs Resort, we are dedicated to creating unforgettable guest experiences through exceptional service, wellness, and hospitality. The Restaurant Host is the first point of contact for guests at Talia Kitchen and plays a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and organized dining experience. This position is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Greet all guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor Manage seating flow to ensure efficient table turnover and balanced server sections Maintain and update reservations, waitlists, and guest notes accurately Answer phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries or general questions Communicate wait times clearly and professionally to guests Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing host stand and entrance area Provide exceptional guest service and help resolve minor guest concerns when appropriate Follow all hospitality, safety, and service standards Qualifications Previous host or customer service experience preferred, but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional appearance and positive attitude Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment Basic computer or reservation system skills preferred Team-oriented with a guest-first mindset Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to move quickly in a busy restaurant environment Occasionally lift or carry light items (menus, supplies, etc.) Work Environment This role operates in a dynamic hospitality setting within a resort restaurant. Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on business needs.
