Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our dynamic restaurant team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and maintaining the flow of service while providing outstanding customer service. This position is primarily for mid-day and/or evening scheduling. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow. Communicate wait times to guests and provide updates as necessary. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance guest relations. Utilize OpenTable system for managing reservations and guest information effectively. Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about the menu, specials, or restaurant policies. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries professionally. Experience with OpenTable or similar restaurant management systems is a plus. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
