Casino Mine Ranch Part-Time Tasting Room Host Founded in 1936, Casino Mine Ranch is a California-based estate vineyard and boutique winery, supplying artisanal wines to locals and customers online across North America. Casino Mine Ranch is headquartered in Plymouth, CA. Located at our Tasting Room in the heart of the California Shenandoah Valley, the Tasting Room Host is the first point of contact for every guest who walks through our doors. Working under minimal supervision as part of a team, the Host ensures a smooth, welcoming arrival experience, sets the tone for the visit, and supports the broader tasting room team throughout service. The main functions include guest greeting and check-in, pouring the first wine, accurate guest data capture, and general support of tasting room operations.
What you will do:
Greet and check in all arriving guests, confirming reservations and party details Pour the first wine for each guest, setting the tone for their visit Accurately enter guest information into our system, including name, email, and location Coordinate with the tasting room team to manage guest flow, walk-ins, and multiple parties Provide a warm, professional first impression that reflects our brand Communicate wait times, seating, and any special notes to the pouring staff Assist with tasting room setup and breakdown as needed Promote current and upcoming events to guests during check-in Assist with inventory, restocking, and other tasting room support tasks Assist Managers with assignments as needed What you need: Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail Professional attitude and a strong work ethic Energetic and personable with guests 1-2 years of hospitality, front desk, or guest services experience Comfortable with basic data entry and Point of Sale systems Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-moving environment Must have knowledge of Federal, state, and local laws dealing with the consumption of alcohol Must be 21 years of age or older Must be able to lift up to 50lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time Available to work nights, weekends, some holidays and have a flexible schedule
