Job Description Summary We are seeking a professional and charismatic Host to be the first point of contact for the iconic Redwood Room. As the face of this historic lounge, you will manage the flow of the room, greet our guests with genuine warmth, and set the tone for an exceptional evening. The ideal candidate balances high-volume efficiency with the sophisticated grace required for a high level cocktail environment.
Job Description Guest Relations:
Provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests, managing the door and seating with poise.
Reservation Management:
Oversee the seating chart and waitlist to maximize lounge capacity while ensuring a smooth guest experience.
Floor Coordination:
Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management regarding open tables and guest needs.
Ambassador of History:
Maintain a working knowledge of the room's history and menu offerings to answer guest inquiries.
Atmosphere Maintenance:
Ensure the entryway and host station remain pristine and organized throughout the shift.
Additional Job Information/Anticipated Pay Range Experience:
Previous hosting experience in a high-volume, upscale lounge or fine-dining environment is preferred but not required.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal communication skills and a polished, professional demeanor.
Tech Savvy:
Familiarity with reservation platforms is a plus.
Adaptability:
Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure during peak hours.
