This role manages reservations, guest seating, waitlists, and communication between guests and the Front of House team to ensure a smooth dining experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet guests promptly and professionally upon arrival. Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently. Escort guests to their tables and provide menus. Answer phone calls and assist guests with inquiries, reservations, and restaurant information. Coordinate with managers, servers, and support staff to maintain an organized seating flow. Monitor dining room capacity and table availability. Assist in accommodating special requests, celebrations, and guest needs whenever possible. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting area. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Support the Front of House team during busy service periods. Qualifications Excellent communication and customer service skills. Friendly, professional, and positive attitude. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Basic knowledge of reservation systems is preferred. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
