Restaurant Host/Hostess

Dead Letter is a new restaurant concept from the girl & the fig, located on the Sonoma Square. We are currently hiring Hosts to join our opening team. Dead Letter reflects our continued focus on thoughtful food, strong team culture, and a commitment to quality in every part of the guest experience. About the Role We are seeking team members for front-of-house positions who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a collaborative service team. These roles are essential to daily operations and focus on providing a consistent, welcoming guest experience in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are dependable, team-oriented, and committed to thoughtful, attentive service. Pay & Schedule $18.47/hour + tips Full-time and part-time positions available What You'll Be Doing You'll support guest service and front-of-house operations throughout each shift, including: Greeting guests and managing the check-in process Seating guests efficiently and providing accurate wait time estimates Answering phones and assisting with guest inquiries Managing and confirming reservations Supporting the overall flow of the dining room Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entry, and lounge areas Assisting with retail or front-of-house presentation as needed Required Experience & Skills Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stay organized and multitask in a busy environment Professional, friendly, and welcoming demeanor Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented during peak service Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (majority of shift) Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Benefits We offer a range of benefits, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time staff 401(k) with employer match Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA/HSA) Paid sick time Employee meals and dining discounts Employee Assistance Program and wellness resources the girl & the fig, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
