As a Host, you will be the welcoming face of Doppio Zero Walnut Creek, energizing guests from the moment they arrive. Your proven experience, enthusiasm, and friendly demeanor will set the tone for an exceptional customer journey, ensuring every guest feels valued and excited to be here. This role offers an engaging environment where your positive attitude and excellent communication skills can truly shine. Duties Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and a welcoming demeanor, making them feel instantly at home Manage guest wait times efficiently and firmly by providing accurate wait estimates and updating guests regularly Coordinate reservations and seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction using Open Table Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host station and waiting area at all times Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, restaurant amenities, or special events in a friendly manner Collaborate closely with managers to ensure smooth seating transitions and excellent service delivery Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly, escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction Requirements Exceptional interpersonal skills with a lively, positive attitude that energizes guests and colleagues alike Strong organizational abilities to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently Ability to remain calm and professional in busy or high-pressure situations Excellent communication skills to clearly convey wait times and answer guest questions Prior experience in hospitality is required Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as moving chairs or assisting guests as needed Join us as a Host at our very busy restaurant in downtown Walnut Creek!
