Job Description

The Breakfast Company is dedicated to providing a perfect start to our guests' day. We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and efficient individual to manage the flow of our dining room and support our serving staff. This dual role is crucial to maintaining our high standards of hospitality and cleanliness. If you are a cheerful multi-tasker who loves working in a dynamic environment, you'll fit right in!
Compensation:
Competitive Hourly Rate + Tips (Average pay in Florida is around $[12-14] per hour, potentially higher with tip sharing)
Schedule:
Day shifts only (approx. 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM), including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities This vital role requires you to wear two hats, ensuring a smooth front-of-house operation:
Host Responsibilities:
Greeting guests immediately with a warm welcome and a genuine smile. Managing the waitlist and seating guests efficiently, using seating charts and waitlist systems. Answering phone calls in a professional manner and taking basic information or to-go orders. Communicating wait times accurately and managing guest expectations during peak hours. Assisting servers with basic needs (running food, help deliver refills and or drinks) to ensure prompt and attentive service.
Busser Responsibilities:
Clearing tables quickly and efficiently once guests have departed. Sanitizing tables, chairs, highchairs and booths, thoroughly between seatings. Resetting tables with clean silverware, placemats, and condiments for the next guests. Spot Sweeping if necessary after table is cleared. Restocking server stations, including ice bins, silverware, napkins, and necessary supplies. Assisting with general cleaning duties in the dining room, restrooms, and host stand area. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in a host or busser role within the restaurant industry is preferred, but we are willing to train enthusiastic individuals. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills ; a friendly and professional demeanor is non-negotiable. Strong ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude during high-volume shifts. Excellent communication and organizational skills ; capable of multitasking effectively. A team player mentality, always willing to jump in and help where needed. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
