Poker Host

The Poker Host promotes excellent guest relations and ensures high levels of customer service to provide a fun and inviting atmosphere. Enhance the guest experience through friendly and attentive service, i.e. greeting guests, interacting with guests in a courteous and friendly manner, and being approachable. Provide guest services duties, i.e. calling service to the tables to ensure food and beverage needs are met, change TV channels upon guest requests, etc. Organize seating of players, maintain the waiting list and run chips for players. Oversee the operation of assigned tables and dealer rotations. Verify initial day's chip inventory; ensure timely fills/credits. Close out the Poker Bank and reconciling paperwork. Monitor patrons' playtime and assist in resolving guest disputes. Assist in keeping the Poker Room and work areas neat and orderly. Ensure compliance with company policies and gaming regulatory requirements. Safeguard casino assets and confidential information. Report suspicious activities to Surveillance and the Poker Room Manager. Runs tournaments as needed. Maintain professional conduct and appearance. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Requirements:

High School Diploma preferred. 3-5 years in poker room operations. Familiarity with poker room concepts, practices, and procedures. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and continuously seek improvement. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must apply and obtain the appropriate state occupational gaming license, which includes a lifetime FBI criminal background check. Must pass drug testing as per the company's Drug Free Workplace Policy and applicable background checks.

Physical Demands:

Regular standing, walking, and use of hands. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
