Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Host/Host, where your vibrant personality and exceptional customer service skills will create memorable experiences for every guest. In this energetic role, you'll be the welcoming face of our establishment, guiding guests seamlessly from arrival to seating while ensuring their needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will set the tone for an outstanding dining experience, fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using OpenTable to optimize seating flow. Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and serving staff to coordinate timely seating and service. Handle guest inquiries via phone with excellent phone etiquette, providing information about menu options, wait times, and special accommodations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and waiting area to uphold high standards of hospitality. Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, turning any issues into positive resolutions. Support the restaurant team during busy periods by assisting with guest services, including taking to-go orders or providing directions within the venue. Uphold safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times. Skills Proven experience as a Host/Host or in a similar food service or hospitality role. Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to create positive guest experiences. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing and table management. Previous restaurant experience is highly preferred; hotel experience is a plus for understanding guest relations in diverse settings. Knowledge of food service operations, including serving procedures and guest services standards. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a friendly demeanor under pressure. Professional phone etiquette for managing reservations, inquiries, and guest interactions over the phone. Strong hospitality mindset with an emphasis on guest relations, ensuring every visitor feels valued and cared for.
