Job Description
The Lead Host plays a key role in creating a seamless and welcoming dining experience. By thoughtfully managing reservations and walk-in guests, the Lead Host helps maintain smooth flow throughout the dining room. Come Prepared, stay sharp, and start strong. Welcome all Wine Club Members and Guests to Cooper's Hawk and greet them with Gracious Hospitality Execute professional and informed phone skills when answering guest phone calls/inquiries Maintain a professional image at all times by adhering to all appearance and behavior guidelines in the employee handbook Follow departmental checklists and standard operating procedures to ensure work areas are prepared for opening, mid-shift or closing in accordance with company guidelines Plan the seating of the dining room by managing the reservation and walk-in list.Own What You See:
Take Responsibility, jump in, and do what needs to be done. Support the operation of the dining room during meal service periods, adjusting guest seating flow to ensure great execution and maximize traffic Drives sense of urgency and guest counts Efficiently reset tables and seat guests Assists with the duties of support team as needed to maintain service effectiveness and efficiency Ensures standards are being met through the shift Stay inSync:
Communicate often, move with your team, and keep service flowing. Serves as a liaison between Host Stand and Managers Recommends wait times for manager's approval Maintain professional relationships and actively communicate with all Managers and Team Members to ensure an exceptional guest experienceMake It Personal:
Be genuine, listen well, and tailor each experience. Engage with Guests and answer questions about food, wine, and facilities in a friendly, helpful manner; Educate Guest on Barrel Reserve wine while escorting to the table Add aTouch:
Go beyond the expected to create memorable moments. Perform other duties as assigned Complete necessary side work during non-busy hours Manage special seating requests of guests consistent with table availability What You Will Bring Represent Cooper's Hawk Values At least 18 years of age Thrives in a team-based environment A genuine love for hospitality and desire to create unforgettable experiences Comfort in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking skills Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length Team spirit and clear communication Willingness to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays Ability to read, write and understand English Cooper's Hawk reviews several factors when establishing compensation.
