Job Summary:
The World Equestrian Center - Ocala is seeking a Host to be the welcoming face of Genievieves , our elegant Italian dining concept located within the prestigious Equestrian Manor. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who embodies warmth, professionalism, and a passion for creating memorable first impressions. As a Host , you will be responsible for greeting guests with poise and charm, managing reservations with precision, and ensuring a seamless flow of service. You will play a vital role in setting the tone for each guests experience, reflecting the World Equestrian Centers core values of Quality, Class, and Distinction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Greet guests with hospitality, creating a welcoming and refined atmosphere. Manage reservations and seating assignments using designated platforms, ensuring optimal flow and guest satisfaction. Maintain an organized and visually appealing host stand and entryway. Communicate effectively with front-of-house and culinary teams to ensure smooth transitions and timely seating. Anticipate guest needs and accommodate special requests with discretion and care. Assist with coat check, special occasion recognition, and other personalized touches. Monitor wait times and provide accurate, courteous updates to guests. Support private dining and special event coordination as needed. Always maintain a professional demeanor. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards in all guest-facing areas. Physical Requirements:
These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during service hours. Comfortable with light lifting and movement of furniture or décor as needed. Communication ability in both verbal and written formats. Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a host or guest service role within an upscale or fine dining environment. High School Diploma or GED equivalent Interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with reservation systems and POS platforms. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Employer has dress code. Professional demeanor. Ability to multitask . Experience with special events or private dining coordination preferred. Employer conducts background check.
