Responsibilities Greet guests with genuine warmth and professionalism as they arrive, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the first moment. Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, to optimize seating flow and minimize wait times. Coordinate table assignments and seating arrangements using restaurant table management systems to ensure smooth service. Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate wait times and reservation details while maintaining clear communication. Assist guests with seating preferences, special requests, and inquiries about menu items or restaurant policies. Support the host team by maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including menus and reservation logs. Collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure guest needs are met promptly and professionally. Uphold food safety standards and promote a hospitable environment that emphasizes guest satisfaction and positive guest relations. Experience Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is highly preferred, especially within fine dining or hospitality environments. Strong background in restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person. Experience working with POS systems and familiarity with restaurant table management tools is desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all guests. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.
