Hostess/Cashier

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include managing guest seating, processing transactions, and maintaining a positive dining experience. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating process efficiently. Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries. Process customer orders accurately using the POS system, including Aloha POS if applicable. Handle cash and credit transactions while ensuring accuracy in all financial dealings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area to provide a welcoming atmosphere. Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, enhancing overall guest relations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and communication regarding guest needs. Assist in training new staff members on customer service standards and operational procedures. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with restaurant operations, including guest services and guest relations principles. Experience with POS systems is a plus; knowledge of Aloha POS is highly regarded.
