As the welcoming face of our establishment, you will be responsible for creating a warm, friendly atmosphere that invites guests to enjoy their time with us. Your role is vital in ensuring smooth operations from the moment guests arrive until they leave, making every visit memorable and enjoyable. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills and be part of a dynamic environment that values excellent service and positive interactions. Duties Greet guests with a friendly, energetic attitude and manage waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize flow and minimize wait times. Provide accurate wait time estimates and communicate effectively with guests via phone etiquette and guest relations skills. Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or special requests, ensuring clear and courteous communication. Coordinate with the dining staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times. Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction. Experience Prior experience as a host or hostess in food service or restaurant settings is highly preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Experience in hotel or guest services environments can be beneficial. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism. Previous experience serving or working in hospitality roles will help you excel in creating memorable guest experiences.
