Job Description
About
XVIII XVIII
is an upscale speakeasy styled cocktail lounge tucked into a historic 1907 building in the heart of downtown Idaho Falls. Behind original basalt walls, our guests enjoy handcrafted cocktails and zero-proof mocktails, artisan bites and entree's, a cigar lounge, and live music on weekend evenings. We are built on a simple promise — exceptional service, drinks, and experiences — and this role helps deliver that promise from the first hello to the last plate cleared. It's a hands-on, team-oriented position: hosting comes first, and you'll pitch in with food running and bussing as the volume calls for it. What You'll Do- Warmly greet every guest as they arrive and set the tone for an elegant, memorable evening.
- Manage the reservation book, waitlist, and seating flow to keep the lounge running smoothly.
- Pitch in running food to tables and bussing during busier shifts to keep service moving.
- Help keep tables cleared and reset so the room stays polished and turns are seamless.
- Answer phone and online inquiries about hours, reservations, events, and private bookings.
- Verify guest age at the door and uphold our 21-and-over and responsible-service policies.
- Communicate clearly with bartenders, servers, and management to balance the room.
- Keep the entry, host area, and dining space clean, organized, and welcoming all night. What We're Looking For
- A friendly, professional, and poised presence — you genuinely enjoy taking care of people.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, even when the lounge gets busy.
- Reliability and punctuality, with availability for evening and weekend shifts.
- Comfort working in a bar/nightlife environment; must be 18 or older.
- Able to stay on your feet, carry trays, and clear tables throughout a shift.
- Previous host, food-running, or hospitality experience is a plus but not required — we'll train the right person. Why Join Us
- Be part of a premier hospitality destination with a distinctive, upscale atmosphere.
- Starting pay of $13.00 per hour with room to grow plus tips on shifts where applicable.
- A supportive team and a fun, fast-paced environment with live music and special events.
