In this role, you will be the first point of contact, managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. Your friendly demeanor and efficient service will set the tone for a memorable dining experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service expertise while working in a dynamic restaurant environment. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists with enthusiasm and professionalism Handle restaurant reservations using reservation management systems to optimize seating flow Manage guest seating and coordinate with servers to ensure timely service Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing orders and payments accurately Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand, ensuring a welcoming environment Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and enhancing overall guest satisfaction Experience Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting preferred but not required Food service experience that demonstrates familiarity with restaurant operations and customer interactions Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members Knowledge of restaurant table management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately Organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently Understanding of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction
