The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 1 year of previous Host experience in a high-volume restaurant. The Host must be available Friday-Monday.

General Description:
Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests, by welcoming and warmly greeting guests on arrival and thanking guests upon departure. Manage the efficient and timely seating of the restaurant.
Specific Tasks:
Warmly and graciously greet all guests and thanking guests as they leave. Open the front door for guests entering and leaving the restaurant when possible. Offering coat/bag check when necessary. Escorting guests to the restroom when asked Escort guests to their assigned table at a comfortable pace while making friendly conversation. Provide guests with menus. Maintain contact with service staff, providing "chits" to servers once their tables have been seated Communications with support staff to pro-actively set tables. Answering phone calls; relaying messages, booking and confirming reservations Adding to and assisting in maintaining guests' notes in OpenTable. Maintaining restrooms for cleanliness and supplies. Assisting with maintaining the reservation books to maximize possible covers while booking the restaurant appropriately. Maintain ongoing communication with the management team and chef; alert them of possible waits, guest issues, high-profile guests.. etc. Coordinating and maintaining a "wait list" if needed, keeping regular communication with guests who have been waiting. Maintaining host stand and front door cleanliness and supplies. Maintain menus counts, ensuring menu cleanliness. Acting as an overall hub for guests' questions (Private dining info, Valet, hours of operation, other BRG restaurants) Take guests' allergies with the utmost seriousness and comply with Allergy Protocol set by restaurant Comply with all safety and sanitation (including handwashing) guidelines and procedures Attend all scheduled meetings and offer suggestions for improvement. Fill-in in when needed to ensure guest service standards. Boka Restaurant Group operates on a seven-day-per-week schedule; consistent and reliable attendance is mandatory. Receive to-go orders Physical Requirements Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces
