In this role, you will be the first point of contact, responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills to handle guest inquiries and reservations efficiently. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality team dedicated to guest satisfaction. Duties Manage restaurant reservation systems to schedule and confirm guest bookings accurately. Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service. Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times. Handle phone communication with guests, answering inquiries about reservations, wait times, and general restaurant information while maintaining proper phone etiquette. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas. Support the front-of-house team by communicating guest needs effectively to servers and management. Experience Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred, but not a must. Strong communication skills, including clear phone etiquette and active listening abilities. Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and guest billing support. Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent guest relations.
