The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of guest relations and hospitality within our restaurant. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover. Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours, communicating wait times clearly to guests. Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions. Assist in answering phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations, and providing information about the restaurant. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall guest satisfaction. Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, ensuring a tidy environment. Skills Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Strong guest relations abilities, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional hospitality. Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred but not required. Ability to help manage guest flow during busy periods while maintaining composure. Previous or hotel setting is advantageous. Knowledge of guest services principles to enhance the dining experience.
