Restaurant Host

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for greeting them warmly and ensuring they feel welcomed from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively. Duties Greet guests promptly and courteously as they arrive at the restaurant. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize flow and ensure guest satisfaction. Utilize Toast POS system to assist with order entry and manage waitlists efficiently. Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests. Maintain a clean and organized host/host station and dining area. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest relations. Assist in coordinating events or special occasions as needed within the restaurant. Qualifications Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred but not required. Strong phone etiquette skills to handle reservations and inquiries effectively. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus. Excellent guest service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and willingness to learn about food service operations are essential.
