This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy restaurant environment. Responsibilities Warmly greet guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave Manage the restaurant's waitlist, reservations, and seating flow Accurately communicate wait times and table availability to guests Escort guests to their tables and provide menus Maintain awareness of table status and help ensure sections are seated fairly and appropriately Answer phones and assist guests with questions about the restaurant, menu, reservations, and hours Assist with takeout orders and other front-of-house needs as necessary Keep the host stand, entrance, and surrounding areas clean, organized, and presentable Communicate guest requests, concerns, and special occasions to the appropriate team members Support servers, bussers, and management when needed Follow all restaurant policies and procedures Provide consistently friendly, professional, and attentive guest service Qualifications Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred, but not required Friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Reliable and punctual Professional appearance and positive attitude Ability to work well as part of a team Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
