Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional service. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will play a crucial part in creating memorable dining experiences. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize flow and minimize wait times. Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests. Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Assist with guest inquiries, providing information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies. Uphold cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand and waiting area. Handle guest feedback with grace, ensuring any concerns are addressed promptly to enhance guest relations. Skills Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus. Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries. Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine passion for guest services and creating positive guest experiences. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and colleagues alike.
