About Fireside Tavern Sherborn Fireside Tavern Sherborn is a community cornerstone, celebrated for its unique blend of classic American fare and innovative twists. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere that transforms every meal into a memorable experience. As we grow, we are seeking a passionate and professional Guest Relations Coordinator to lead our front-of-house team and serve as the face of our hospitality. Job Description This position works Thursday, Friday & Saturday with 1 more day a week TBD Hours are typically 4pm-9pm As the Guest Relations Coordinator, you will be the leader of our hosting team and the first point of contact for every guest. Your primary responsibility is to orchestrate a seamless and welcoming experience from the moment guests arrive until they depart. This leadership role requires a proactive approach, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage the flow of the restaurant with precision and grace. You will not only manage reservations and seating but also serve as a key problem-solver and brand ambassador.
Key Responsibilities Orchestrate Guest Flow:
Manage all reservations, walk-ins, and seating using the Toast system to ensure balanced service and guest satisfaction. Lead the
Host Team:
Serve as the go-to person for the host stand, providing guidance and support to other hosts.
Manage Guest Experience:
Act as the first point of contact for all guests, warmly welcoming them, addressing their needs, and resolving any issues with professionalism. Collaborate with
Management:
Work closely with the Director of Operations and other managers to anticipate busy periods and ensure a smooth, efficient shift.
Maintain Ambiance:
Ensure the host stand and entrance area are always clean, organized, and inviting.
Handle Communications:
Manage all incoming phone calls, reservations, and inquiries with polish and accuracy. Qualifications Proven experience in a host or guest-facing role within a restaurant. Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. The ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards guest satisfaction. Proficiency with reservation and point-of-sale systems (e.g., Toast). Ability to work the required schedule of 3- 4 days a week. Thursday-Saturday required and 1 additional day TBD. Hour are approximately 9:00 or 9:30 p.m.
