Overview At Salt and Stone , we know that a great guest experience starts at the front door. Following our renovation in Assembly Row , we are looking for a Front of House Host who combines a great personality with impeccable organizational skills. As our brand ambassador, you'll be the first point of contact and the person who sets the pace for the entire dining room. We are looking for someone who thrives in the energy of a high-volume restaurant, stays calm under pressure, and makes sure every guest feels genuinely welcomed from the moment they arrive.

Responsibilities The Art of Welcome:

Greet our guests with a warm, professional, and authentic attitude, managing arrivals with efficiency and grace.

Smart Reservation Management:

Oversee the reservation book and waitlist using platforms like OpenTable and Yelp , optimizing seating to ensure the best possible flow for the dining room.

Service Coordination:

Escort guests to their tables and work closely with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure a seamless service transition.

Real-Time Communication:

Use walkie-talkies to stay connected with the team, providing live updates on table availability and specific guest needs.

Guest Relations:

Handle phone calls and inquiries professionally, serving as a reliable voice for our restaurant regarding bookings and general information.

Opening & Closing Support:

Keep the host stand organized and service-ready, collaborating on daily prep tasks to ensure our entrance always meets house standards.

Requirements Proven Experience:

At least 2 years of verifiable experience as a host in a high-volume restaurant or premium customer service environment.

Technical Proficiency:

Hands-on experience with reservation systems like OpenTable or Yelp is a must.

Strong Communicator:

The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in person and over radio systems with the rest of the team.

Proactive Attitude:

Someone who anticipates the needs of the floor and maintains a positive, helpful presence even during peak hours.
