Job Purpose:
The Host is the first and last impression of the dining experience, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Organized, attentive, and service-driven, the Host manages guest flow with efficiency and grace while reflecting Main Street Hospitalitys commitment to thoughtful, guest-centered hospitality in every interaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.

Manage reservations and waitlists accurately using the reservation system.

Escort guests to tables while engaging in friendly and professional conversation.

Communicate seating flow clearly with service and kitchen teams.

Monitor table status and coordinate with servers to optimize guest flow.

Provide accurate information regarding menus, specials, and dining policies.

Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and service recovery with professionalism and care.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area.

Assist with light support duties to ensure smooth dining room operations.

Uphold Main Street Hospitalitys high service standards at all times.

Perform additional relevant tasks as requested by management.
Education & Experience:
Previous experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role preferred.

Familiarity with reservation systems is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage guest flow efficiently.

Polished and professional presentation.

Strong attention to detail.

Dependable, proactive, and self-motivated.

Energetic team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

Able to remain calm and composed during high-volume service.

Curious and eager to grow within the hospitality field.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.

Must be able to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks as required by daily operations.

Comfortable working flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Work Authorization:
