Position Overview:

Love Pomelo is seeking a warm and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our team. The Host/Hostess will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience from the moment they arrive. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor upon arrival. Manage the waitlist and seating arrangements efficiently, taking into account table availability. Escort guests to their tables and provide menus. Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and waiting area. Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries, reservations, and takeout orders. Provide accurate wait time estimates and manage guest expectations. Assist with special requests and accommodations for guests whenever possible. Monitor the dining room flow and coordinate with management to optimize seating arrangements. Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the host stand area.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Positive attitude and enthusiasm for providing exceptional service. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
