Job Description
Job Requirements The Host/Hostess is responsible for assembling and delivering meals to patients. This role ensures that trays are accurate according to the CBORD-printed tray ticket and comply with each patient's prescribed diet. Responsibilities include assisting with tray assembly on the meal line, delivering trays to patient units, collecting soiled trays, and transporting them to the dish room. The Host/Hostess educates patients about the room service meal program and assists patients who are unable or unwilling to place meal orders independently. This position regularly interacts with patients, nurses, unit secretaries, family members, and visitors. The Host/Hostess continually develops knowledge and skills necessary to effectively serve patients of all ages, including neonates, toddlers, school-age children, adolescents, adults, geriatric patients, and terminally ill patients. In addition, the Host/Hostess is responsible for maintaining inventory and stock levels in assigned floor pantries.
