Work Performed The position involves hosting, taking phone orders, taking customer orders in house, keeping orders organized and working efficiently in a busy environment. Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner. Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area Ensure all areas of the front of house areas are clean and properly sanitized Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order Perform any other job-related duties as assigned Requirements Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment while on your feet for 4-8 hours You must have excellent organizational skills and show initiative with ability to work well in a team environment Possess good communication and organizational skills High school education or equivalent experience Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation Lifting up to 50 lbs. limited/Pushing up to 50 lbs Must be able to work independently Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language Hours required: 25-35 hour shift Morning (AM); Afternoon (PM); Evening; Must be flexible; Weekends/ Holidays; scheduled days and times may vary based on need Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities Previous serving experience a plus Successful demonstration of culinary and food safety knowledge Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail Second language is a plus Compensation $15.10 Hourly + tips Benefits Earned paid time off Employer-contribution medical/dental/vision insurance Optional life insurance Short term/Long term disability Optional 401k with employer match Employee discounts at participating hotels Option to sign up for on-demand pay with DailyPay Refer a friend
