This Rock Style Cooking creates a memorable dining experience making Black Rock the ideal restaurant for special occasions, as well as for everyday dining with friends and family. We are Michigan's favorite steakhouse. We are a growing nationwide and are currently accepting applications for the following position: Host/Hostess/Greeter A Host/Hostess is responsible for representing Black Rock Bar and Grill as the initial point of contact to guest. She/he provides guest service that exhibits professionalism, attention to detail, and the desire to create a welcoming environment. She/he will also work directly with other team members to ensure that all guests' visits exceed their expectations.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Arrives to work on time as scheduled in full uniform Holds the door for incoming and departing guests and greets guests in a warm and friendly manner. Smiling, friendly welcome to all guests, vendors and job applicants. Provides the highest level of service by adhering to all Black Rock service standards. Fulfills all job responsibilities in order to contribute to a "one great shift" operation. Walk guests to table in restaurant as well as the patio, advising the guest of server's name and daily specials. Provides accurate wait times to guests and recommends wait options (seating at the bar). Answer incoming restaurant calls in a friendly, professional manner. Works directly with other FOH team members to ensure all of the guest's needs are fulfilled in a timely manner. Provides occasional backup support to bartenders with to-go orders and directs guests to appropriate "pickup" area.. Assist bussers and servers in bussing tables and refills non-alcoholic beverages. Ensures that restrooms are kept clean and stocked. Proper food handling and sanitation of work areas. Accomplishes all running and end of shift side work; including ensuring work areas are stocked and ready for the next scheduled host/hostess to take over. Interact with guests to create Black Rock Raving Fans. Communicate with fellow team members and management to keep one another informed. Required Skills & Education Desire to provide exceptional service throughout the entire shift. Strong communication skills and the ability to work alone as well as with a team. Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
