Overview As a Host you are responsible for greeting and seating guests, taking to-go orders, completing transactions and other assigned tasks while ensuring fast and courteous customer service. Responsibilities The Host 's typical job functions include: Greeting and seating guests Answering phones, taking food orders and answering guests questions Using point of sale system to complete transactions, balancing cash drawers and preparing deposits Bussing tables, assisting servers with table maintenance and stocking of the restaurant Assisting cooks, servers and bartenders with various tasks as needed Using iPad seating chart system Delivering room service and spa orders Qualifications This position may be for you if: You are 18 years old You have achieved a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) You are available to work days, evenings, weekend and holidays You possess excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with people You are able to stand for long periods of time
