Canopy by Hilton, a contemporary boutique hotel located in downtown Grand Rapids, is on the lookout for a friendly and service-oriented Host at Knoop, the hotel's exquisite rooftop cocktail lounge! ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist servers with table clearing, cleaning, and setting Help maintain the bar's stock levels during service Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary Perform opening and closing duties, as needed. Completes side work to include polishing/rolling silverware, stocking condiments and glasses, sweeping and cleaning as directed by supervisor. Practices "clean as you go" method, and sanitation standards. Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs. Seat guests and manage the seating chart. Receive incoming calls and provide information in a polite and professional manner. Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow. Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products. Follow proper cashiering functions by completing/closing guest checks and submitting information into POS system.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent experience required. 6 months of experience working in a related position preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
