While we practice cross training in a variety of roles in the restaurant on our support staff, the primary role is that of a seating coordinator. The central responsibilities of this role include organizing and effectively seating the dining rooms and bars with reservations and walk-in guests, acting as the face and voice of our brand when greeting and communicating with our patrons in person and over the phone, and working with management to creatively and efficiently seat our establishment. Other responsibilities in this primary role include providing clear communication between management and servers and bartenders, organization, sales, and inventory of Max's merchandise and other essential items, and handling of guest receipts, guest transactions, and organization of our entryway and takeout point of sale. Previous hospitality experience is required, with a minimum of one year experience in a full service dining establishment. In addition to the primary role of seating coordinator, opportunity to work in other roles such as Server Assistant and Food Runner and Bar Back are additional roles we cross train for. In our search, we are open to hiring a full-time experienced professional that has the skill set and ability to operate in many or all of these roles, or a part time, less experienced individual that focuses on the primary role of seating coordinator. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high volume environment. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have an interest and desire to collaborate with management on a daily basis to provide the best possible guest experience.
Hours per week:
20-35 Weekend availability is required Typical end time: 10PM-12AM Typical start time: 1-3
