Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks will help create a warm, inviting atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a dynamic environment dedicated to delivering memorable service. Responsibilities 7am - 3pm Tuesday - Saturday year round, full time, plus tips Greet guests promptly with a warm and genuine smile, creating a positive first impression. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times clearly to guests. Assist with guest inquiries over the phone and in person, providing accurate information about wait times and restaurant offerings. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating flow and timely service. Uphold cleanliness and presentation standards in the host station and waiting areas. Support guest relations by addressing concerns professionally and courteously, ensuring every visitor feels valued and appreciated. Experience Previous host or hostess experience in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating welcoming guest interactions. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal expression. Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Experience working in hospitality settings like hotels or other guest-focused venues is a plus. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Knowledge of food service operations, guest services, and basic hospitality principles enhances success in this role.
