The Host will manage guest seating, handle reservations, and ensure smooth flow of service in a lively, customer-focused environment. This role is vital in setting the tone for exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction, requiring a friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival with enthusiasm and professionalism, establishing a welcoming atmosphere. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Opentable. Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure timely seating and minimal wait times for guests. Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservations when needed. Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience. Support front-of-house operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host station. Collaborate with servers and management to facilitate smooth service flow during busy periods. Skills Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Knowledge of food service protocols and guest relations best practices. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to manage guest inquiries confidently.
