Food Service/Hostess Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and professional Food Service/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. This role requires previous experience in hosting and food service, along with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. The Food Service/Hostess plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of the establishment Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating flow Escort guests to their tables and present menus, answering any initial questions they may have Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely seating and service Monitor dining areas to maintain cleanliness, organization, and comfort for guests Handle guest inquiries or concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary Assist in setting up dining areas for special events or busy periods Maintain knowledge of menu offerings to answer guest questions accurately Process guest payments accurately when applicable Uphold safety and sanitation standards in all interactions and work areas Experience Prior experience as a host or hostess is preferred Experience in food service is highly desirable Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays This position offers an engaging work environment where excellent customer service is valued.
