Key responsibilities of a host include: Greeting customers: Providing a warm and welcoming greeting as guests arrive.

Managing reservations:

Ensuring reservations are accurately recorded and managed.

Providing wait time estimates:

Accurately informing guests of potential wait times.

Guiding guests to tables:

Escorting guests to their assigned tables.

Answering basic questions:

Addressing inquiries about the restaurant, menu, and other relevant information.

Handling phone inquiries:

Answering phone calls and taking reservations.

Taking to-go orders:

If applicable, assisting with placing and managing to-go orders. Maintaining a clean and organized host station/entryway: Ensuring the host station is tidy and functional.
