Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant services. Manage cashier duties by accurately processing payments through POS systems, including cash, credit cards, and digital transactions. Maintain organized guest flow by coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service. Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness in the hostess stand area to ensure a hygienic environment. Support guest services by addressing special requests or concerns promptly, fostering positive guest relations throughout their visit. Requirements Proven experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on friendly customer interactions. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety procedures and hospitality best practices. Previous experience in hotel or restaurant guest services is a plus.
